Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble, writers 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
