Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 Thamud, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
