Allah it is Who has made cattle for you so that you ride some of them and from some of them you derive food. 79 and find [yet other] benefits in them; and that through them you may attain to the fulfillment of [many] a heartfelt need: for on them, as on ships, you are borne [through life]. 80 And He shows you His signs; so which sign of Allah will you deny? 81 Have they not travelled in the land to see the fate of those who went before them? They were more numerous and mightier and left greater traces of their power on the earth; yet all that they accomplished was of no avail to them. 82 Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things): And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them (i.e. the punishment). 83 And when they saw Our punishment, they said," We believe in Allah alone and disbelieve in that which we used to associate with Him." 84 But never did their faith benefit them once they saw Our punishment. [It is] the established way of Allah which has preceded among His servants. And the disbelievers thereupon lost [all]. 85
