Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
