Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 Until, when death comes to one* of them, he says, “O my Lord, send me back!” (The disbelievers) 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 [And God will say:] "Were not My messages conveyed unto you, and were you [not] wont to give them the lie?" 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 There was a group of my servants among you who always prayed: Lord, forgive us and grant us mercy; You are the best of those who show mercy. 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed for a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count of this." 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 Whosoever calls upon another god, other than Allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his Lord. The unbelievers shall never prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.' 118
