The people of Noah accused the apostles of lies. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 (Noah) said, "I have no knowledge of their deeds. 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 afterwards, We drowned the rest. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
