Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 and the severally severing 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till a limit known? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead. 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
