Thamud denied the warning 23 For they said; Is it a mortal man, alone among us, that we are to follow? Then indeed we should fall into error and madness. 24 "Is it that the Reminder is sent to him [Prophet Salih (Saleh)] alone from among us? Nay, he is an insolent liar!" 25 (Unto their warner it was said): To-morrow they will know who is the rash liar. 26 Verily, We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them [O Salih (Saleh)], and be patient! 27 And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn]. 28 But they call their comrade and he took and hamstrung (her). 29 And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. 30 We sent a single blast against them, and they were reduced to husks of a decayed fence. 31 And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? 32 The people of Lout (Lot) belied the warnings. 33 Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn 34 As a reward from Us; this is how We reward one who gives thanks. 35 And (Lut) did warn them of Our Punishment, but they disputed about the Warning. 36 And they tried to persuade him regarding his guests – We therefore blinded their eyes, “So taste My punishment, and My warnings.” 37 and early in the morning the punishment decreed overtook them -- 38 Now taste My punishment after My warnings! 39 And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to memorise, so is there one who would remember? 40
