The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created man 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
