Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
