Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know whatever you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
