The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is rent asunder 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 2 when earth is stretched out 3 and casts out what is within it and is emptied, 4 And obeys its Lord and it must. 5 O man! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did). 6 And he who is given his ledger in his right hand 7 Will have an easy reckoning, 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 But as for he who is given his record behind his back, 10 Soon will he cry for perdition, 11 And enter into burning fire. 12 They lived among their people joyfully 13 Surely he thought that he would never return. 14 But no; (how would he not revert)? His Lord was ever watching him. 15 Nay; I swear by the twilight; 16 by the night and what it covers, 17 and the moon when it is at the full, 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 What is the matter with them that they do not accept faith? 20 And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)? ۩ 21 In fact the unbelievers disavow. 22 Allah knows best what they are accumulating (in their Record). 23 Therefore give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 24 Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing. 25
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
