The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
