Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
