Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
