Prostration (Al-Sajdah)

30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon) before The Mountain (Al-Toor)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 There is no doubt that this Book is revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or do they say: “He has fabricated it?” Nay, it is the Truth from your Lord so that you may warn a people to whom no warner came before you; perhaps they will be guided to the Right Way. 3 God is He that created the heavens and the earth, and what between them is, in six days, then seated Himself upon the Throne. Apart from Him, you have no protector neither mediator; will you not remember? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth, then it goes up to Him in one day, whose measure is a thousand years of your counting. 5 He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 6 who gave everything its perfect form. He originated the creation of man from clay, 7 then He fashioned his progeny of an extraction of mean water, 8 But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give! 9 They say: “Shall we be created afresh after we have become lost in the earth?” Nay, the fact is that they deny that they will meet their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
