Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen me through him 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember you often. 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
