Do you not realize that We have sent Satan to incite the unbelievers to sin. 83 Therefore be not in haste against them, We only number out to them a number (of days). 84 The day We shall gather the righteous to (Allah) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours, 85 and the criminals will be driven and thrown into hell, 86 They shall not control intercession, save he who has made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Certainly you have made an abominable assertion 89 Well-nigh the heavens are rent thereat and the earth cleft in sunder and the mountains fall down in pieces. 90 That men should ascribe a son to the Most Gracious, 91 And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant. 93 He has counted them and exactly numbered all; 94 And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment. 95 Surely those who believe and do deeds of righteousness -- unto them the All-merciful shall assign love. 96 We have made it easy in your own tongue in order that you proclaim the glad tidings to the cautious and give warning to a stubborn nation. 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
