[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
