Corruption has appeared in the land and sea, for that men's own hands have earned, that He may let them taste some part of that which they have done, that haply so they may return. 41 (Muhammad), tell them, "Travel through the land to see how terrible was the end of those who lived before. Many of them were pagans. 42 So set you (O Muhammad SAW) your face to (the obedience of Allah, your Lord) the straight and right religion (Islamic Monotheism), before there comes from Allah a Day which none can avert it. On that Day men shall be divided [(in two groups), a group in Paradise and a group in Hell]. 43 Whoever disbelieves, then the calamity of his disbelief is only on him; and those who do good deeds, are preparing for themselves. 44 so that He will recompense those who believe and do righteous deeds from His bounty. He does not love the unbelievers. 45 And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful. 46 And indeed We sent several Noble Messengers before you, to their nations so they came to them with clear signs We therefore took revenge from the guilty; and it is incumbent upon Our mercy, to help the Muslims. 47 Allah is He Who sendeth the winds so that they raise a cloud and then spreadeth it along the heaven as He will and breaketh it into fragments, and thou beholdest the rain come forth from the interstices thereof. Then when He maketh it fall upon such of His bondmen as He will, lo! they rejoice. 48 Though they were before this, before it was sent down upon them, confounded in sure despair. 49 Look then at the effects of Allah's mercy: what wise He quickeneth the earth after the death thereof. Verily, He is the Quickener of the dead, and He is over everything Potent. 50 And if We send a wind and they see it to be yellow, they would after that certainly continue to disbelieve 51 You [Prophet] cannot make the dead hear and you cannot make the deaf hear your call when they turn their backs and leave; 52 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error: none canst thou make hear [thy call] save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 53
