And if they deny thee, say: Unto me my work, and unto you your work. Ye are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what ye do. 41 And among them are some who listen to you; so will you make the deaf hear even if they do not have any sense? 42 And some of them look unto thee; what, wilt thou then guide the blind, though they do not see? 43 Verily, God does not do the least wrong unto men, but it is men who wrong themselves. 44 And on the day when He will gather them as though they had not stayed but an hour of the day, they will know each other. They will perish indeed who called the meeting with Allah to be a lie, and they are not followers of the right direction. 45 And if We show you something of what We threaten them with, or cause you to die, yet to Us is their return, and Allah is the bearer of witness to what they do. 46 Every nation has its Messenger. Then, when their Messenger comes the matter is justly decided between them; they are not wronged. 47 They ask: 'If what you say is true, when will this promise come' 48 Say, "I have no control over any harm or benefit to myself, except by the will of God. For every people, however, there is an appointed term. When the end of their term arrives, they cannot postpone it for an hour, nor can they advance it." 49 Say thou: bethink ye, if His torment come on you by night or by day which portion thereof would the culprits hasten on? 50 Then is it that when it has [actually] occurred you will believe in it? Now? And you were [once] for it impatient 51 Then will the sinners be told: "Now taste everlasting torment. Should you be rewarded for anything else but what you did?" 52 And they ask thee to tell them if it be true. Say thou: yeah by my Lord, it is the very truth, and ye shall not be able to escape. 53
