Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to [evil] with [constant] incitement? 83 So, do not be hasty with them. We are counting their number (of days). 84 The Day will surely come when We shall gather the God-fearing like [honoured] guests before the Compassionate God 85 And drive the wicked into Hell like cattle driven to water, 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Indeed, [by this assertion] you have brought forth something monstrous, 89 This would almost cause the heavens to rent apart, the earth to cleave asunder and the mountains to crumble down in fragments, 90 That ye ascribe unto the Beneficent a son, 91 And it is not worthy of the Beneficent Allah that He should take (to Himself) a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but he shall come to the Most Compassionate Lord as His servant. 93 He has indeed counted them, and He has numbered them exactly. 94 And each one of them will come unto Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Surely those who believe and do deeds of righteousness -- unto them the All-merciful shall assign love. 96 So We have made it easy in thine tongue in order that thou mayest thereby give glad tidings unto the Godfearing and warn thereby a people contentious. 97 But how many (countless) generations before them have We destroyed? Canst thou find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them? 98
