1/2 Hizb 45

۞ [And God will thus command:] "Assemble all those who were bent on evildoing, together with others of their ilk and [with] all that they were wont to worship 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). 35 and would say: "Shall we, then, give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 [as free of faults] as if they were hidden [ostrich] eggs. 49 So one among them turns to the other, questioning. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 “Except our earlier death, and nor will we be punished?” 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
