Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 Then for him is entertainment with boiling water. 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
