The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And the earth throws out its burdens. 2 And man says: What has befallen her? 3 On that Day it shall proclaim its news, 4 Because your Lord sent a command to it. 5 On that Day mankind will proceed in bands, that they may be shewn their works. 6 Whosoever has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
