And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
