Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
