The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
