Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 in a garden sublime, 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 and couches raised high, 13 and goblets laid out, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 and outspread carpets. 16 DO, THEN, they [who deny resurrection] never gaze at the clouds pregnant with water, [and observe] how they are created? 17 And the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 thou canst not compel them [to believe]. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
