The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 And [by] the day when it appears 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil), 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. 7 but for him that is a miser, and sufficed, 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Indeed, Guidance is Ours, 12 And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 And Al-Muttaqun (the pious and righteous - see V. 2:2) will be far removed from it (Hell). 17 Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness). 18 And who hath no favour from anyone to recompense. 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 and before long he will be well satisfied. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
