And assuredly We sent Nuh unto his people, and he said: O my people! worship Allah; for you there is no god but he; will ye not then fear Him! 23 The unbelieving assembly of his nation said: 'This is but a human like you, who desires to gain superiority over you. Had Allah willed, He could have sent down angels. We never heard of this among our ancient forefathers. 24 He is a person who has been seized with a little madness; so wait for a while (perhaps he will improve)." 25 "O my Lord," prayed (Noah), "help me against them, for they accuse me of lies." 26 So We revealed to him, saying: Make the ark before Our eyes and (according to) Our revelation; and when Our command is given and the valley overflows, take into it of every kind a pair, two, and your followers, except those among them against whom the word has gone forth, and do not speak to Me in respect of those who are unjust; surely they shall be drowned. 27 When you and those with you have boarded the ark, say: 'All praise be to God who has delivered us from the people who were sinful.' 28 And say thou, my Lord! cause me to land at a landing blest, and thou art the Best of these who bring to land. 29 There are great Signs in this story; and surely We do put people to test. 30 We brought another generation into existence after the people of Noah. 31 So We sent among them an apostle from among them, saying: Serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; will you not then guard (against evil)? 32
