Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So you and your deities 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
