Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
