The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when souls are united, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 by the night when it approaches 17 The rising dawn, 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
