The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
