Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
