Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In extending columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
