The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 The closing night, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Then where are you going? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
