۞ We sent a revelation to Moses telling him to leave with our servants during the night; they would be pursued (by the Pharaoh). 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 "And verily, they have done what has enraged us; 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable place. 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 At sunrise, they followed them. 60 and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
