In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
