۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 (Who said): Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 So We removed them from gardens and springs 57 and [deprived them of their erstwhile] station of honour!" 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.” 61 Said Moosa, “Never! Indeed my Lord is with me, He will now show me the way.” 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
