The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 closed around them 8 in endless columns! 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
