Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 while you make merry? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
