The pious ones will receive a beautiful Paradise from their Lord. 34 or should We, perchance, treat those who surrender themselves unto Us as [We would treat] those who remain lost in sin? 35 What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose! 36 Or have ye a scripture wherein ye learn 37 That therein is yours that which ye may choose? 38 Or you have oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection that yours will be what you judge. 39 Ask them, which of them will stand surety for that! 40 Or have they other gods? Then let them bring their other gods if they are truthful 41 On the Day when the leg shall be bared, and they are ordered to prostrate themselves, they will be unable. 42 Their eyes will be cast down, ignominy will cover them; they used to be called to prostrate (offer prayers), while they were healthy and good (in the life of the world, but they did not). 43 So leave Me, (O Prophet), to deal with him who gives the lie to this Discourse. We shall draw them little by little (to their undoing) in a way that they will not know. 44 I shall respite them, My stratagem is firm. 45 Or is it that you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 46 Or that the Unseen is in their hands, so that they can write it down? 47 Wait patiently for your Lord's judgement; do not be like the man who, having been swallowed by a whale, called out in distress. 48 Were it not that favor from his Lord had overtaken him, he would certainly have been cast down upon the naked Found while he was blamed. 49 His Lord therefore chose him and made him among those deserving His proximity. 50 And those who disbelieve well-nigh cause thee to stumble with their looks when they hear the admonition, and they say: verily he is mad. 51 And it is nothing but a Reminder unto all beings. 52
