Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
