Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 He plunged the villages 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
