The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the inevitable event takes place, 1 There is about its happening no lie. 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 with goblets, and ewers, and cups filled with water from unsullied springs 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like hidden pearls, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and extended shade, 30 And water gushing, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 All this will be for the People on the Right; 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
