The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 to their promise, 9 these are the heirs 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
