The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
