Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
